Product Description

Armored air insulated switchgear indoor 11kV  should meet the relevant requirements of GB3906-1991 "3-35 kV AC metal-enclosed switchgear" standard. It consists of two major parts: the cabinet and the circuit breaker, and has functions such as overhead incoming and outgoing lines, cable incoming and outgoing lines, and busbar connection. The cabinet consists of a shell, electrical components (including insulating parts), various mechanisms, secondary terminals and connections.
The structure of the high-voltage switch cabinet is generally similar, mainly divided into a circuit breaker room, a busbar room, a secondary control room (instrument room), and a feeder room. There are generally steel plates between the rooms.

High-voltage switchgear can be divided into the following three types:

1. According to the installation method of the circuit breaker, it can be divided into removable type (cart type) and fixed type;


1.1. Removable type or cart type (indicated by Y):
It means that the main electrical components in the cabinet (such as circuit breakers) are installed on a removable cart. Since the cart cabinet has good interchangeability, it can greatly improve the reliability of power supply. Commonly used cart types include: isolation carts, metering carts, circuit breaker carts, PT carts, capacitor carts and used variable carts, such as KYN28A-12.

1.2. Fixed type (indicated by G):
It means that all electrical components in the cabinet (such as circuit breakers or load switches, etc.) are fixedly installed. Fixed switchgear is simpler and more economical, such as XGN2-10, GG-1A, etc.
2. According to the installation location, it can be divided into indoor and outdoor;

2.1. For indoor use (indicated by N):
It can only be installed and used indoors, such as: Armored air insulated switchgear indoor 11kV and other switch cabinets;

2.2. For outdoor use (indicated by W):
It can be installed and used outdoors, such as: XLW and other switch cabinets.
3. According to the cabinet structure, it can be divided into four categories: metal-enclosed armored switch cabinet, metal-enclosed partitioned switch cabinet, metal-enclosed box-type switch cabinet and open switch cabinet. [1]
3.1. Metal-enclosed armored switch cabinet (indicated by the letter K): The main components (such as circuit breakers, transformers, busbars, etc.) of the metal-enclosed switchgear are installed in grounded compartments separated by metal partitions. Such as KYN28A-12 high-voltage switch cabinet.
3.2. Metal-enclosed partitioned switch cabinet (indicated by the letter J): Similar to armored metal-enclosed switchgear, its main electrical components are also installed in separate compartments, but it has one or more non-metallic partitions that meet certain protection levels. Such as JYN2-12 high-voltage switchgear.
3.3. Metal-enclosed box-type switchgear (indicated by the letter X) The switchgear shell is a metal-enclosed switchgear. Such as XGN2-12 high-voltage switchgear.
3.4. Open switchgear, no protection level requirements, the shell is partly open switchgear. Such as GG-1A (F) high-voltage switchgear.

1.2.9 Rated voltage of opening and closing mechanism and auxiliary circuit: AC, DC 220V or other.

1.1.12 The external insulation creepage distance of each component and its supporting insulation in the high-voltage switch cabinet meets the requirements of the state and the former Ministry of Electric Power. Anti-condensation devices can be equipped as needed.

1.1.13 The structure of the high-voltage switch cabinet ensures the safety of the staff and facilitates operation, maintenance, inspection, monitoring, overhaul and testing.

1.1.14 The connection of each component and its conductor in the high-voltage switch cabinet will not exceed the operating temperature specified in the relevant standards during the high temperature period in summer.

1.1.15 Requirements for components:

1) Components with the same rating and structure in the same type of product can be interchangeable.

2) Each component installed on the high-voltage switch cabinet meets their respective technical standards.

1.2.16 Protection level and internal faults:

1) When air is used as the insulating medium alone, the phase-to-phase and ground clearance of each phase conductor in the cabinet meets the relevant national standards.

2) To prevent people from approaching the high-voltage live parts of the high-voltage switchgear and touching the moving parts, the protection level is: ip4x, which can prevent objects such as metal wires with a diameter of ≥1.0mm or narrow strips with a thickness of ≥1.0mm from entering.

3) For internal faults, the following requirements are met:

Metal-enclosed high-voltage switchgear can prevent arc injuries to workers caused by its own defects, abnormalities or misoperation. Measures are taken to prevent human-caused internal faults, and locking devices are installed to prevent misoperation. Pressure relief channels are set up to take into account the indoor overpressure and pressure release caused by the failure of internal components.
