The advantages of Outdoor High voltage LW9-72.5 Sf6 Gas Circuit Breaker are as follows:
● Strong Breaking Capacity
The 132kv Sf6 Circuit Breaker effectively extinguishes arcs using SF6 gas. Its rapid arc-blowing speed and short burning time allow it to handle high breaking currents, ensuring the safety of medium and high voltage circuits. There is no risk of re-ignition after disconnecting capacitive or inductive currents.
● Long Electrical Life
This circuit breaker boasts a long service life and extended maintenance cycles. It is capable of frequent operations within a short timeframe, demonstrating excellent safety and durability. It can open 19 times continuously at a full capacity of 50 kA, with a total current interruption capability of up to 4200 kA.
● High Insulation Level
Using SF6 gas as an insulating medium, the circuit breaker achieves a very high insulation level. At a pressure of 0.3 MPa, it easily passes various insulation tests, providing a substantial safety margin.
● Good Sealing Performance
The 132kv Sf6 Circuit Breaker features a simple and well-sealed structure. Its interrupter chamber, resistance, and pillar form independent gas compartments, with low moisture content in the SF6 gas. This design allows for convenient installation and maintenance without needing to open the internal components, ensuring a reliable seal.

● Indicators Not Lit Before Closing Operation
If the red and green indicators are off, it indicates a disconnected control circuit or lack of control power (e.g., a blown fuse). Check the following:
• Control power supply
• Normal operating voltage
• Status of the fuse
• Anti-jump relay functionality
• Condition of the circuit breaker auxiliary contacts
• Ensure there’s no air pressure causing the latch to disengage
● Red Light Off After Closure Operation
If the red light is off, the green light is flashing, and the accident horn sounds, it means the operating handle and circuit breaker position do not match—the circuit breaker is not closed. Common issues include:
• Blown closing circuit fuse
• Poor contact in the closing circuit
• Closing contactor failure
• Closing coil malfunction
● Green Light Off, Red Light On with Flashing Indicators
If the circuit breaker closes but then automatically trips (red light flashes), and the accident horn sounds, it indicates a fault. Possible reasons include:
• Faulty line causing protective tripping
• Mechanical failure preventing the circuit breaker from staying closed
● Green Light Off, Red Light Off, but Current Meter Indicates Closed
If the green light is off, the red light is also off, yet the current meter shows the circuit breaker is closed, potential issues could be:
• Poor contact in auxiliary or control switch contacts
• Disconnection of the trip coil, preventing operation
• Blown control circuit fuse
• Burned-out indicator light bulb
● DC Power Supply Grounding
The 132kv Sf6 Circuit Breaker’s DC power supply should be grounded at two points. Excessive moisture in SF6 gas can compromise insulation, impair arc extinction, and produce toxic substances. High moisture levels may lead to:
• Condensation on insulation surfaces, reducing insulation effectiveness
• Flashover breakdown in severe cases
• Hydrolysis reactions under an arc, generating hazardous byproducts like tungsten trioxide and copper fluoride
• Corrosive effects on solid organic materials and metals, shortening equipment lifespan
